Hello! Boy, where has the time gone? It is pretty sad when I have to put a reminder in my phone to remind me to update the blog. I feel if you write a to-do list, you are more likely to make those things happen. In this case, I typed it in my Blackberry. Speaking of Blackberry. It's my new toy! Dave has always referred to it as crackberry because people love them so much and I can see why! I'm glad I made the switch from a measly camera phone to my Blackberry Tour. Thank you Verizon (not only for paying my husband's salary, but for my phone too)!
I'm just going to skip the past couple of months and jump right to August. August 3rd was the day I celebrated my 27th birthday! I could have sworn I was turning 28, but Dave reminded me that was just not the case. Turns out, he was right. I blame it on being a multi-tasking, always busy, memory loss mother of one! To celebrate my birthday week we planned on having a night out with friends. However, Lexi decided differently when she gave her mommy and daddy the stomach flu. It was just a 24-hour thing, but I was tired and knew no fun would be had with no energy. So, I postponed the plans to the following weekend (last Saturday). We had us some fun too! I'm glad I waited a week because I was 100% fun (or so I think). Here are pictures from the night out...

Back at our house - Jessica, Andrea and I
We ran into Andrea's brother, Michael, at Old Chicago. So I had the bright idea of arm wrestling him. I won!The day of fell on a Monday, so my sweet husband brought me sushi and we ate in and hung out with Lexi. Afterwards, he sat through the Notebook and Pride and Prejudice without complaint! Also, as part of my birthday he is going to take me to The Time Traveler's Wife. I can't wait to see it! He also spoiled me with a gift certificate to Von Maur!
Now, let's get to the good stuff. Alexis. She is growing so fast! She loves to be the center of attention (which she usually is) and loves to make us laugh. I say this every time, but I really should write things down as I think of them because when it comes to typing it out, I forget! One of the things she did last night was taking my phone and holding it out in front of her and she said "smile! cheese!". Dave just looked at me and said yeah, you take a lot of pictures! Here is a little sample of said photo taking.

We also have quite the talker, climber, musician, artist, and lots more! She remembers the songs she hears in tumble tots and sings "toe knee chest nut knows i love you" (tony chestnut) and some wiggle song. She loves to dance to Dave's type of music like The Who.Probably the most frustrating thing going on now is her eating habits. She changes her mind constantly on what she finds acceptable to eat. She takes a few bites and is done. I don't get how she's not starving! This week she likes chicken noodle soup (actually, she just likes soups period), plum organics mish mash fruit, yogurt (she doesn't like yo baby anymore, she prefers yoplait's flavors), tortilla chips, salsa, shrimp scampi, and chicken (sometimes). I worry about her nutrition so I try to give her vitamins. Yeah right! The liquid is just disgusting and I would never take it, but I try to get her to and she doesn't, of course. She shivers it's so gross! I tried the gummy vitamins and she hates those too. The only thing I am able to get her to take is a probiotic. I mix it in with her yogurt. She hasn't lost weight, so I'm going to assume she is fine and this is just a phase like anything else. She is still a little girl though and is wearing 12 month clothes half the time.
Okay, that is all I have for now. I hope that catches us up a little bit. Talk to you in a couple of months! Just kidding!!! :)
Until next time,

Lexi is getting soooo big! Did you change your hair up some? I love it. Hope all is well.
Hi there! Yes I probably have changed my hair since I posted pictures of me last. And guess what else? I got my hair done today and it looks different again. LOL!
