Happy Mother's Day to Ashley!!!

For all who know me, I cannot keep a surprise or wait to get my surprise. The day I have someone's birthday/Christmas/any other occasion gift, I can't wait to give it to them. It is near impossible for me to actually give someone their presents the day of. The same goes for receiving too. So, in true Ashley fashion, I have my Mother's Day gift from my loving husband. I didn't know which camera I wanted until I sought the advice from friends and professionals. So, I now have a Canon Rebel XSi and I heart it already! It came with a EFS55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS lens. I have no idea what half of that means, but it's a zoom lens. It's awesome!!! Check out the pictures I've taken so far.

The first picture we took - couldn't resist with that headband on
Bath time
Starting to figure out the camera a little bit more

Banana chip - taken with my awesome zoom lens!!!

Great pictures! The one of you both is so cute! I was thinking of getting that same camera, right now I have a Canon power shot (8mp) that is about 6 years old but still takes nice pictures. I can't wait to come back and see what else you take with it!

Congrats on the new camera! I am the EXACT same way about gifts, so I totally understand. I just got a new Canon Rebel for my birthday in March, and I am LOVING it!

Ashley, you are going to have so much fun getting that thing figured out! Don't you love the fact that the digital SLRs capture EVERYTHING... every bead of water at bath time, every stray strand of hair blowing in the wind?

Congrats!! I am so happy for you. You will love it more and more each time you use it. I almost hate using my other camera now because the pictures do not even compare. What a great Mother's Day gift. Call me next week or e-mail me so we can see each other.

That's awesome! how nice of him. We can't keep surprises either. Zak and I have Christmas around December 5th every year. It's always too far away! Oh, and we're supposed to get Mother's Day gifts? I'm new to this whole mother thing...
