This is taking forever!

So, you may have notice that I've been MIA for awhile. The times I am on the computer I've been on Facebook playing Mafia Wars or UNO. It's a sad thing to admit because my blog has suffered for it. Because of my "time off" from blogging that means I have lots of fun pictures to share! So, I won't waste your time by typing a bunch of stuff and will just give you visual aids.

Daddy teaching Daughter how to play some tunes. Her favorite - the Top Gun Anthem

Lexi chilling on her couch with the Stink

Exhibit A: Lexi needs a haircut

Lexi gets a haircut

Lexi doesn't like her haircut

Okay, so we didn't dare cut off any length, so she got a bang trim

Last week was so nice, so off to the park we went!

Figured out what dandelions do when you touch them

Stopping to smell the dandelions

Look! There's more over there!

And, she's off again!

Lexi's bangs were still getting in her eyes, so we took her in one more time and had them trimmed straight across.

Mom's going to get her!

Look close and you can see her canines coming in

Just being silly

My baby looks so grown up here!

Lexi has changed a lot in the past week or two. She only wants me all the time. She wants to sit in my lap or wants me to carry her around the house. She'll follow me around the house saying "up, up!" and if I don't pick her up she gets so upset. I do not always pick her up. Especially if I'm in the middle of cooking or doing laundry. Even when Dave's home she gets very upset when I leave the house without her. Is this all normal for an almost 18-month old? Another thing that she's doing that is just about to drive me nutso is she is showing some signs of those pesky terrible two's, ALREADY! If she doesn't get her way, she is not a happy camper. She'll scream NOOO very loud and try to hit us. When we tell her to be nice and not to hit, etc. she starts crying. I try to ignore her, but it's very hard. Last night, I took her to the WSU baseball game and she really wanted to play on the stairs of the stadium. I let her walk up and down them once. Then, we sat down and she wasn't having that. She arched her back and screamed NO! These kind of things are making me rethink trying to travel on an airplane with her! Any advice ladies?

As for me, I'm still enjoying life and being home more with Lexi. Even if she acts possessed a fourth of the time. I'm a Make-A-Wish Wish Granter and I meet my first wish child this week. I cannot go into detail, but I am looking forward to making a wish come true for her. River Run is coming up for all you Wichitans! Hope to see you all out there running the 10k or 2 mile. I, myself, will be running the 2 miles. Also coming up is the Lion King! It's touring through Oklahoma City, so Dave and I are going to see it in mid-May. Grandma JO and Aunt Andrea are going to watch Lexi for the night, so Dave and I can make a quick one night trip down there. I've always wanted to see the show on Broadway, but have never made it out to NYC. Luckily, it came to the midwest!

I hope you all enjoy the plethora of pictures I posted. I have a ton more, but I figured I'd spare you all! I'll do my best not to be gone for so long. Hope everyone is having a great week. Until next time!

Hey Ashley... Ianna started her terrible twos right around 18 months as well and it gets worse ... I know so frustrating huh!!! I got this book I haven't really started to read it but it seems like it will be helpful it is called The Happiest Toddler on the block by Dr. Karp . Another book that I got which came recommended is Healthy Habits, Healthy Sleep. Has she started to throw fits at the store cause that is also very fun with all the people look at you , and then when they act like you are doing something so awful to them I LOVE IT!!
I guess you have to take the good with the bad at this age cause they are so much FUN!! And Lexi is too cute for words!!

Look at the mouth full of teeth on that girl! Don't you love the "everything in the grass is a flower" thought... it only gets better! She is so stinkin' adorable, and love her new bangs!
